Going for a break

As some of might have noticed, I haven't published anything for a while now. This fall has been super busy for me and my time and interest for lolita has been on a dry spell. At least for now my interest for lolita is at it's lowest point. My personal life has been eating so big part of my time and nerves that I don't have any spared energy left. That's why I'm putting this blog on a break, at least for now. I hope that I'll get my inspiration back after the new year. Until then, ta-ta!

Finishing the never ending sewing project

I finally managed to finish my first lolita skirt, which I started to make a year ago. Thanks to Tuulia who helped me with this. I spend many hours of pain and suffering with this skirt but at last I can say that it's finished. I'm not really satisfied with the result but oh well, it's my first skirt after all...
There's still some small improvements I want to make, so if you're talented sewer and want to do some charity and fix this skirt for me, say herp :D.

Super fast Jell-O fish!

A couple weeks ago, during the Animecon weekend, there was a Cloudberry Lady teaparty in Kuopio. I must say that the teaparty was quite exquisite because the whole theme and the food were just awesome. I was also modelling in the small fashion show which was held in the teaparty. The idea was to dance on the runway, I don't know how well I did pull that off. Kati aka. Asio Otus however pulled the dancing and modelling theme really well, I was quite impressed actually. You can see the fashion show at the end of this post.

An to the other subject. May I introduce you the Cloudberry Lady's new print Jell-o Fish! The first time I saw this dress, it was love at first sight. There's jellyfishes in the print and they GLOW IN THE DARK! How fucking awesome is that? Obviously I had to buy it immediately, but you can get your own piece probably after Christmas. I just love this dress to pieces.

Sinuski, Yoshh and I :>
Sinuski is wearing Jell-O Fish skirt in lavender and
Yoshh is wearing the velveteen bird skull dress.

Close up from the print. It's actually dip dyed (pink to green).
The print is named Jell-O Fish, because if you look it at close you can see that some of he jellyfishes are actually like jelly. :D!

Glowing in the dark like motherfucker!

Bunny days

It's about a time to post the second outfit of the Animecon Lolita Fashion Show. Jenni, Ninni and I were Cherry Berry Bunny-triplets. This was my first time to wear OTT-sweet-lolita. It was quite fun, but I don't think that I will make it as a habit. Bit too much bows and pink for my taste :D.

Pirates, a-hoy!

Last weekend I attended to a Enfant Terrible's lolita-fashion show, which Yoshh organized. Here's my first outfit for the fashion show. I decided to put together a pirate-lolita outfit since I've never tried pirate-lolita before. It was quite fun actually, I think that pirate-lolita is going to sneak in to my style too :D! I also had a second outfit for the show, which I will post later on. Herre ye go lad's 'n' maidens, Kaichi as a pirate yarrrrrr!!!

Current Obsession: Old Bollywood movies

There's something really interesting about old Bollywood movies. They manage to be really entertaining and still filled with great music. They're also a great way to lift your spirit when you're feeling down. Here's a couple of songs that have recently popped in to my life.

Black and white

Hi there! Last week I spent a week at the countryside with my parents. I truly enjoyed at being at the country. I guess I'm a country girl after all, even though I've lived my whole life at the city. I enjoy the slow paced life which is quite a dominating way of life at the country. I also wanted to make a small photoshoot while I was in our summer house. I think that it's filled with interesting shooting locations and if I would spent more time in there, I guess I would make more photoshoots too.

Wedding outfit

So today I did attend to my cousin's wedding. Since it was an international lolita day I decided to put on a summery outfit. The weather however wasn't summery at all. It was something like +8 Celsius outside and I was literally freezing, since I didn't have a jacket. I seriously need to buy a jacket which goes also with my lighter outfits. Once again I had a quite a difficulty to put this outfit to some certain category. I would say that it's classic/country-lolita. Seriously, let me know what do you think it is. I apologize about the poor quality photos.

Moomin madness

When I was a child, the Moomins was my the most favorite TV-series. My mother also used to read, for all of us children, the Moomin books of Tove Jansson. When I was a teenager I found the Moomin comics by Tove and Lars Jansson, and let me tell you they're hilarious. So basically I've grown up with the Moomins so naturally they're still a big part of my life. Lately I've once again got the "moomin madness". I've followed the anime series from youtube (you can watch them in Finnish from here ), read the comics and books again. So last week when I went to the countryside with my parents, I decided to put on a little moomin-themed photo shoot. My grandma did this wool hat for my dad years ago and even then I used to call it the "Snufkin-hat". I gathered a rule 63-based Snufkin outfit around that same hat :D.  So here you go, a lovely mix of cosplay and lolita!

Living Dead Girl

My "normal" style for a change. During this year my style has changed quite a lot. I don't really know what kind of style genre this is, and honestly, I don't even care. Anyhow, this is how I usually dress while not doing lolita. I think that in lolita I can express the girlyness in me so while I'm dressing "normally" ( gosh I hate that word) I kind of like to show off my "attitude".
